Assura East Riding LLP has asked the CCP to assess whether North Yorkshire and York PCT and York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have acted inconsistently with the Principles and Rules for Cooperation and Competition. Assura East Riding LLP has alleged that North Yorkshire and York PCT and York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust have failed to act consistently with Principles 1, 2 and 5 in relation to the procurement of an orthopaedics, musculoskeletal clinical assessment, triage and treatment service at a loss-making price.
The CCP is assessing this issue under the conduct and procurement provisions of the Principles and Rules for Cooperation and Competition and will decide whether the conduct of North Yorkshire and York PCT and York Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is likely to give rise to an adverse effect on patients or taxpayers.
